New Class Sneak-Peak
Sound mage
You wield sound waves as deftly as others wield swords. You have a deep understanding of tones and pitch and with the aid of your superior lung capacity, you can manipulate both for a range of effects from simple distraction to earth-shaking vibrations.
New spells -
Gnat (Cantrip/Illusion): Action (Concentration): 1 Target you can see within 60ft - Create a buzzing noise near the target’s ear. The target must succeed on a DC12 Wisdom check or become distracted, causing disadvantage on attack rolls and skill checks relying on sound until the end of your next turn. Target may reroll the Wisdom check at the end of each turn as an action.
Blunt Impact (Lvl 1/Abjuration): Reaction - send a wave of sonic energy forward to lessen the damage from an incoming attack. Roll a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw. On a success, incoming damage is halved.
Earsplitter (Lvl 1/Evocation): Action (Concentration): 1 Target you can see within 30ft - Create a burst of sound that shatters the eardrums of your unlucky target. Each target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or receive 2d12 Force damage and become deafened for 1d4 days, or until receiving aid with Lesser Restoration. On a successful save, the target receives half damage and is not deafened.
Sonic Boom (Lvl 3/Conjuration): Action (Instant): Create an earth-shattering explosion of sound that shakes the ground around you, creating difficult terrain in a 10ft radius from your position. Targets must succeed on a DC17 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. This sound can be heard by anyone within 100ft.
Migraine (Lvl 5/Conjuration): Action (Concentration): Up to 5 targets you can see within a 30ft circle centered on a spot of your choosing within 30ft - Manipulate the natural harmony of your opponents’ mana auras to bring them to their knees for 3 rounds. All targets must succeed on a DC15 Constitution save or take 5d10 Psychic damage and be knocked prone. On a successful save, the target receives half damage and remains standing. While the sphere is active, it can be moved up to 15ft on your turn as a bonus action. Targets who begin their turn within the area follow the same rules as those initially affected.
Sonic Shield (Lvl 9/Abjuration): Action (Concentration): Create a dome of sound with a radius of 15ft centered on the caster. All creatures within the dome are immune from any attack outside the dome for three turns (and vice versa), or until the caster drops the spell or fails a concentration save. Creatures inside the dome can still attack other creatures inside the dome as normal. Creatures outside of the dome can move into the dome with a successful DC14 Wisdom save, but on a failure will receive 1d10 Force damage and be deafened for 1d4 hours, or until healed.
Meet the Townsfolk!
I’m pleased to introduce you all to the deities of Desuvis and Cololly’s NPCs! While most are currently depicted with AI art, I am working with a wonderful artist who is helping me bring these characters to life. Each has their own personality and story (as well as a plot hook, or two) making Cololly a place with plenty of stories and adventures for your party to explore! I will be adding short stories featuring the citizens within the next week, and I hope you love them just as much as I do!
Check out our NPCs, Cololly’s Leadership, and Gusken’s Deities!
Desuvis: Creation
They opened their eyes for the first time and beheld the darkness surrounding them. The first trickle of self-awareness wormed its way through the creature now occupying the endless void.
“Who am I?”
Voicing the query startled them, for they had never perceived sound. Their thoughts gathered into a name and they hesitantly tested their new-found voice.
“I am Salaris, but what am I?”
New perceptions flooded their senses as a brilliant light burst forth from the darkness. Their form shied away, contracting to shield them from the overwhelming onslaught. Slowly, whether by moments or millennia, they adjusted to the new information the light revealed. They considered the new sensation as they perceived themselves for the first time.
Ethereal wisps swirled lazily through the blackness, slowly coalescing to create a fluid but cohesive form under their careful direction. She was Salaris the Dreamer. Were there other dreamers like her?
She considered the light before her. Could it be another? As the thought manifested, so too did gossamer wings to carry her toward her target.
How long did she soar? How far? She had no means to measure, but she continued toward her goal until she reached another ethereal form in the void. Now she was perceiving something new. Not something from without, but something within.
Excitement, curiosity, and trepidation churned within her as she fought to quiet her thoughts, but determination pushed her forward. She gently asked, “Are we the same?”
In a searing flash, a figure began to form around the light, and she was suddenly no longer alone. The new form regarded her warily for some time, but Salaris was patient. She waited quietly as the figure adjusted to the newness of existence. They glowed from the light within, and as they moved around her in contemplation, small motes of softly twinkling light drifted from their form and into the void. She watched some of them find purchase in the unfathomable distance, while others collided into bright flashes of creation. Some flickered and vanished, and some danced in pairs. Salaris watched it all with the wonder only new life can contain.
The figure straightened before her.
“I am Rosette the Radiant,” and so he was.

My Dream of Desuvis
Hello to all who find their way here. Our story begins in northeastern Gusken, in the city of Cololly. Let the adventure begin!
I’ve always loved writing, and it’s my hope that love comes across in the world of Desuvis. What began as an off-hand comment quickly spiraled into a vibrant world full of mystery and magic. My ultimate goal is to create a module for each country in Desuvis. This first module begins in the capital city of Gusken, Cololly. I will be adding maps along with previews for character stories and overall plot points.
I welcome constructive feedback, and if your suggestion makes it to the final product, you will be credited accordingly. Most of the images are AI-generated, but I am currently working with an artist and will be replacing them with original art once I have it available. Most of the maps were made with Inkarnate, and a select few were made in Dungeon Alchemist.
My next update will include a brief rundown of the deities of Desuvis and the societal build of the beginning city. Stay tuned!
